Garry Cook left Manchester City in disgrace just over a year ago, but he’s finally found himself a new job.
Cook was the Chief Executive at Eastlands for over three years and instrumental in bringing a number of big names to the club, including the current captain Vincent Kompany.
However, he offered his resignation in 2011 after allegations arose surrounding an email sent to the seriously ill mother of then City defender Nedum Onuoha.
After a year out of the spotlight, Cook has returned, this time as the CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, one of America’s fastest growing sports.
“I am absolutely delighted to be joining the UFC.” said Cook. “Mixed martial arts is one of the most popular sports globally and to be working in such a dynamic and exciting industry, with the UFC’s talented, passionate and committed staff and athletes, is an honour.”
