Chelsea given the green light to move for £50 million striker

Chelsea are ready to make a £50 million move for Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the player admitted he is very flattered to be linked with the Premier League giants.

When asked about the possibility of a summer move to Stamford Bridge, the Swedish striker had this to say : ”I am fully aware that Chelsea want to sign me and, of course, it is very flattering. They are one of the biggest teams in Europe and the Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world.”

Chelsea boss Carlos Ancelotti is desperate to bring in a new striker this summer and Ibrahimovic is understood to be one of his leading targets. Ibrahimovic, 27, has in recent times claimed that he may be ready for a new challenge and Chelsea are preparing to test Inter’s resolve with a £50 million bid.

I have always been a huge fan of Ibrahimovic’s and I would love to see him arrive at Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks. During his three years at the San Siro, Ibrahimovic has scored an impressive 65 goals in all competitions and I’m sure if he was to arrive in England, he would score bags of goals. It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to Football Corner.
