Analytics: Barcelona’s performance in the first half enough to beat Getafe

The home side Barcelona put on a solid performance in the first half against Getafe on Sunday and were up 2-1 by half time. Getafe couldn’t find a way back into the game and Barcelona won the La Liga game 2-1 (2-1).

The hosting team Barcelona started best and were already 1-0 up already from the kickoff. After only 2 minutes Sergi Roberto found the net from a pass from Jordi Alba.

Getafe equalised to make it 1-1, when Sandro Ramirez scored, with an assist by Carles Alena, in the 19th minute.

Barcelona took the lead after half an hour’s play as Memphis Depay netted, with an assist by Frenkie De Jong. The teams were unable to score in the second half and the game ended with a 2-1 win for Barcelona.

The last meeting between the teams ended in a 5-2 home win for Barcelona in April 2021.
