The Statistics: Jay’s two goals give Exeter win over Rovers

Exeter defeated Bristol Rovers in Bristol Rovers in the England League Two on Saturday 1-4 (0-4).

The hosts Exeter started best and were already 1-0 up already from the kickoff. After only 3 minutes Matt Jay netted.

The team increased the lead to 2-0 early in the match when Matt Jay made his mark as he scored one more time. This occasion he scored in the 15th minute.

Exeter also increased their lead to 3-0, when Timothee Dieng scored, in the 22nd minute.

Just two minutes later, it was Harry Kite who scored, thus ensuring that the team increased the lead again, making it 4-0.

In the 70th minute, Sam Finley found the net, to reduce the score for Bristol Rovers. However, Bristol Rovers were unable to make more of an impression. The 4-1 goal was the last goal of the game.

The last outing between the teams ended in a 3-1 home win for Bristol Rovers in April 2016.
