Data Pack: West Bromwich Albion held off Blackburn Rovers to win

The away side West Bromwich Albion took control of the game against Blackburn Rovers and had a 2-0 lead. The third period saw Blackburn coming closer but the Championship game finished with a 2-1 win for West Brom.

The visiting team West Bromwich Albion started the match at pace and took the lead straight away early in the game. After only one minute Alex Mowatt netted.

Straight after the break, Matthew Phillips scored and increased the team’s lead.

In the 51st minute, Ben Brereton scored, to reduce the score for Blackburn Rovers. However, Blackburn Rovers were unable to make more of an impression. This brought the final score to 1-2.

After four games, Blackburn Rovers have seven points while West Bromwich Albion have 10.

The last match between the teams ended in a 1-1 draw, with Blackburn Rovers at home in July 2020.
