Chelsea On Alert As Real Madrid Star Struggles To Adapt To The Bernabeu

Luka Modric left Tottenham last summer to join Real Madrid in a deal worth around £30 million.

6 months on and the Croatian international has admitted that he has struggled to adapt to life in the Spanish capital, something which is bound to trigger the attentions of European Champions Chelsea.

Modric, 27, has made just 14 league appearances for Los Blancos, some of which have come from the bench, and although his Real Madrid career is at a very early stage, it would appear Jose Mourinho may not have room for him in his starting eleven.

Speaking about the last few months, Modric was quoted as saying: “It’s very demanding to adjust to a huge club like Real Madrid.”

With Frank Lampard moving nearer his Stamford Bridge exit, Chelsea could really do with a player they showed a very keen interest in over the last number of years.

The next couple of weeks are bound to be very interested with regards the future of Luka Modric, but one thing is for sure, as a big fan of the Premier League, I would love to see him return to England sooner rather than later.
