Arsenal welcome Chelsea to the Emirates stadium this weekend in one of the biggest games of the season so far, and the manager who will be sitting on the home bench is over the moon that a certain Didier Drogba is no longer plying his trade in London.
Arsene Wenger, speaking in the build-up to Saturday’s clash, has today admitted that his side won’t miss playing against Drogba, who left the Premier League this past summer to move to China and join Shanghai Shenhua.
“I don’t know if Chelsea miss him, but we don’t miss him.” said Wenger of the former Chelsea frontman. “He did a lot of damage against us.”
A lot of damage would be a fair assestment from Wenger. During his time with Chelsea, Drogba netted 13 times in just 14 games against the Gunners.
