Bolton’s Gary Cahill has been strongly linked with a move away from the Reebok in recent days, with Arsenal said to be very keen on the English defender, however Liverpool are now also understood to be interested.
Cahill, 24, has been one of Bolton’s top performers this season and there is even talk he will be included in Fabio Capello’s 23-man England squad that will make the trip to South Africa this summer.
It is thought that Cahill will cost at least £12 million and in my view, Liverpool or indeed Arsenal would be getting great value for money if they managed to secure his services for the rumoured figure.
Cahill signed for Bolton back in 2008 and has since made over 80 appearances for the club. There is no doubt in my mind that Cahill is capable of playing at the very top level and I reckon he would be a cracking signing for either Liverpool or Arsenal.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool clearly need to add to their squads during the summer transfer window and I am sure that we will see quite a number of arrivals and departures at the Emirates and Anfield. Anyone with a bit of knowledge in the soccer betting department would know that Arsenal or Liverpool would be a far better bet for next season’s Premier League title with Cahill in their side.
