League of Ireland Preview (8)

Bohemians v Galway United 19.35 pm, Dalymount Park, Friday, 16th of April

Bohemians come into this game off the back of a defeat to arch rivals Shamrock Rovers and Pat Fenlon may consider making drastic changes to his side that under preformed against the Tallaght club. The Champions will be hoping to get back to winning ways over former manager, Sean Connor’s Galway United. The Tribesmen recorded a 2-2 draw with Sporting Fingal, with Karl Sheppard scoring a wonder goal during the proceedings.

Prediction : Bohemians to get back to winning ways with a 2 – 0 victory

Drogheda United v Shamrock Rovers 19.45 pm, Hunky Dorky Park, Friday, 16th of April

Drogheda will be buoyed by their 1-0 win over high flying St.Pats last week in which, Eoghan Osbourne scored a last minute winner for the Boyneside club. Rovers’ confidence will be sky high after recording a victory over Dublin rivals, Bohemians after a hard fought encounter between the two sides that was decided by Billy Dennehy. Both sides will be hoping for a win to move them up the table.

Prediction : Drogheda are hit and miss at the moment, as are Rovers so I’m going for a 1 – 1 draw

Sporting Fingal v Dundalk 19.45 pm, Morton Stadium, Friday, 16th of April

Fingal were held to a 2 – 2 draw with a determined Galway United last time out and will be hoping to go one better against current league leaders, Dundalk. Sporting have been scoring goals for fun this season with Conan Byrne, Eamon Zayed and Gary O’Neill tormented defences across the country. Dundalk have made their march for the top based on a solid defence while Neale Fenn and Faz Kuduzovic have provided a potent attacking threat.

Prediction : A nailed on draw in my opinion. 2 – 2
